Financial Analyst

Primary Job Purpose
The Financial Analyst serves as a trusted finance business partner by providing financial guidance and support; builds budgets, forecasts, conducts variance analysis and reporting; prepares financial analysis and support such as cost-benefit, return on investment and capital resource analysis for new business opportunities, proposals, contracts, or product development; supports cost savings and process improvement efforts; provides financial governance and oversight. This role supports several key divisions within Cambia’s Health Plan Operations including Technical Services, Group Membership Administration, and Learning, Experience and Transformation.
General Functions and Outcomes
- Delivers effective presentations to group or team regarding monthly financial results and financial analysis findings.
- Develops financial models and analysis using advanced analytical techniques and financial systems.
- Plans, organizes, schedules, coordinates, and monitors multiple divisional work streams.
- Provides training or consulting expertise to other departments, analysts and external stakeholders.
- Provides informal leadership if needed, proactively identifies and suggests improvements to work-flow or business processes.
Minimum Requirements
- Basic knowledge of applicable statutes, policies and procedures in a specific functional area.
- In partnership with leadership, identifies a full range of alternatives for the business.
- Applies sound decision making.
- Effective verbal and written skills.
- General knowledge of business principles, theories and concepts.
- Ability to effectively work with a broad range of stakeholders, including the ability to influence where applicable.
Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above, a Financial Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics or statistics. CPA, CMA, MBA or ASA, along with health insurance experience preferred plus 2-4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment

The expected hiring range for a Financial Analyst is $66,500.00 - $90,500.00 depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; and work location. The bonus target for this position is 10%. The current full salary range for this role is $62,500.00 to $102,500.00.
