Overview
The Risk Solutions IT team is looking for a Technical Analyst to work with a team-centric IT team to service the Risk Solutions Business Unit. The person who applies for this position should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills; have strong oral and written communication skills; have a high level of attention to detail; have strong planning and organizing skills and can meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Performs detailed data validation in SQL Server and Oracle databases.
- Performs analysis for production support of systems and applications.
- Utilizes excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and communicate underlying issues, as well as coordinates resolutions.
- Exhibits strong business knowledge and builds strong customer relationships.
- Ensure open flow of communication between the business and IT.
- Respond timely to requests and be able to assist in managing a backlog.
- Assist in the prioritization of requests with the business and IT to ensure the most critical projects are completed.
Leads small to moderately complex projects.Performs other duties as assigned, such as testing and validation of solutions.Analyzes, identifies, and writes detailed description of system requirements.Leads requirements gathering sessions with business unit and end user; documents end user requirements for data capture, program functions, data quality, reports and analysis, and training.Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of the applicable business solutions and requirements.
Qualifications
- SQL experience and knowledge of relational databases.
- XML knowledge.
- EDW and FDW database experience is a plus.
- Must be self-motivated and demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Exhibits strong analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of business information data sources and business data rules.
- Proven strong attention to detail with excellent organization skills.
- Ability to train and perform product demonstrations to business users.
- Job grade will be determined based on skills and experience.
