Job Summary
As a finance and operations agent at California Contractors Insurance Services, you will play a vital role in the financial and operational aspects of our insurance business. You will be responsible for payment processing, document issuance, financial calculations, and various operational tasks to keep our company running smoothly.
This role requires onsite attendance in our Sacramento office.
Position Responsibilities:
- Daily Payment Processing: Execute daily credit card batch processing for all in-house payment plans with precision and timeliness.
- Payment Plan Management: Manage client payment plan payments, including collecting new payment methods as needed, and ensuring compliance with signed payment agreements.
- Document Issuance: Issue client and carrier Notices of Intent (NOI), Notices of Cancellation (NOC), and Notices of Reinstatement (NOR) as required.
- Bond Riders: Prepare and issue bond riders to the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) and specified carriers.
- Cancellations and Return Premium Calculations: Submit and monitor the progression of cancellations and accurately calculate and prepare return premium calculations in accordance with company guidelines.
- Bond Premium Transfers: Facilitate bond premium transfers efficiently and accurately.
- Accounting Support: Collaborate with the accounting department to assist with inquiries and liaise with third-party vendors as needed.
- Audits and Policy Assistance: Provide support, as needed, for audits, liability policy rewrites, and general liability (GL) premium transfers.
- Cash Handling: Assist the accounting team with daily check and cash deposits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures.
- Cash Box Reconciliation: Conduct monthly reconciliation of the cash box to maintain financial accuracy.
- Check Processing: Assist in printing and cutting checks to facilitate financial transactions.
- Data Management: Support data management and clean-up efforts to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of previous experience in finance or operations roles within the insurance industry is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial and operational tasks.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative team player with excellent organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with insurance regulations and processes is a plus.
The starting hourly pay scale for this position is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on factors such as skills, qualifications, training, and experience. ISC's salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
National Pay Range: $24 - $29 USD
