Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for complex projects associated with the maintenance of tax records and the preparation of all or specifically assigned income tax returns and related reports and workpapers. This role assists with tax consulting projects to minimize income taxes and researches various tax issues. They are responsible for complex projects associated with the maintenance of tax records including preparing all state income tax returns and related reports, supervising and reviewing the work of associate tax accountants which includes local taxing jurisdictions income tax returns, estimated payments, and extensions. Also, this role assists with tax consulting projects and researches state and local income tax issues and is responsible for correspondence with state and local taxing jurisdictions as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree (MA, MS, MBA) or equivalent in Accounting.
Experience: Three to five years of professional tax experience, preferably with a national accounting firm or corporate tax department.
Certifications: CPA and/or Masters of Accountancy (MBA) required.
Skills: Strong Excel, Access, analytical abilities, and effective communication skills.
