Description
The Accounting Analyst will be part of a small team that is primarily responsible for the management of the Servbank subservicing invoicing process. These invoices summarize loan level activity over dozens of different invoicing line items for each of the Servbank subservicing clients, many of which have thousands of loans in their portfolios, so we are looking for someone who has experience working with large data sets. Additionally, this role will have a client facing component as this team will occasionally need to join client calls to help answer invoice related questions.

What you will do
- Help own the production of monthly invoices.
- Assist in reconciliations of client related receivables/payables.
- Work with our client relations team on answering invoicing related client questions.
- Work on daily bank reconciliation of servicing accounts.
- Serve as back-up/support on account reconciliations when needed.
- Research reconciling items, communicate them to the appropriate lines of business, and follow up/escalate as needed to ensure timely resolution.
- Documenting, tracking, and reporting reconciling items to senior leadership.
- Analyze Servicing Accounting policies and procedures to identify areas of opportunity for improvement/streamlining.
- Breakdown journal entries at loan level and post journal entries efficiently.
- Research and resolve any Servicing Accounting related escalations.
- Upload documentation/backup to all Journal Entries using Servbank’s accounting application.
- Oversee the completion of audit deliverables from the bank reconciliation team.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years mortgage servicing experience
- Minimum 5 years accounting experience or minimum 5 years relevant experience at a financial institution
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- MSP Experience preferred
- Analytical, detail oriented, independent thinker
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the willingness to be flexible and adapt to change
Education
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math, or another related field or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
