Overview
JST is seeking a highly qualified Visual Analyst to join our team at the 711th Human Performance Wing, United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM). This position involves providing subject matter expertise in visual and data analytics to support the Aerospace Medicine Studies and Analysis Operational Support Team.

Visual Analyst Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the AWARE data team to design, conduct, and lead visual and data analyses of operational studies on health surveillance data/health records/other relevant military records.
- Use sophisticated tools (such as Tableau or SAS Viya) to analyze datasets and create visual representations of the data.
- Assist in data collection in support of USAFSAM/FESO's mission.
- Produce interactive visual analytics by managing the retrieval and integration of health information data, personnel records, deployment-related records, health surveillance registries, and other military-related data.
- Draft reports, and prepare and present documents and presentations pertaining to the status of the studies and visual analyses.
- Update graphs and charts and generate new data visuals for the Air Force Recruiting Service/Aeromedical Waiver Division (AMWD).
- Present results of studies or investigations through briefings, technical reports, and publication in scientific journals.
- Provide consultation support to the AMWD regarding data products produced by AWARE and other areas within the specified range of expertise.
- Interface with USAFSAM/FESO leadership and staff.
Visual Analyst Qualifications
- Master's degree in Epidemiology, Statistics, Data Science, or Bioinformatics with a minimum of one year of experience in the area of expertise.
- Advanced visual and data analytical skills in population health and health data surveillance.
- Demonstrated record of designing, conducting, and leading visual and data analyses of health surveillance data/health records/other relevant military records.
- Proficiency in Tableau, Microsoft Office, and SAS/SAS EG.
- Current HIPAA training certification.
- Signed NDA in place based on potential access to confidential, proprietary, and/or sensitive information.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within a health and visual analytics-related field and working with DAF-related data.
Work Schedule
- Normal work hours are Monday to Friday, 0730-1630. Flexibility may be required to support specific tasks.
Clearance Requirements
- All contractor personnel require a minimum of a Tier 1 background check (T1)/SF85 for any position that requires access to the internet, use of automated information systems, or unescorted entry into restricted or controlled areas.
- MUST be able to pass a US Government Security Clearance.
