Job Purpose
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for financial and business information and analysis in support of the company's reporting, forecasting and planning processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Extract and analyze financial, economic and operational data to support activity-based modeling and profitability pro formas for domestic customers. Provide insights and recommendations to business leaders on restructuring existing business as well as future business opportunities.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess business performance and evaluate investment opportunities.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Prepare insightful reports and presentations for executive leadership and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to gather data, perform analysis, and drive actionable insights.
- Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Lead planning and forecasting processes for areas of responsibility; responsible for inputting and validating inputs into the Hyperion Planning application.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a financial analyst, preferably in a corporate finance or FP&A role.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau, ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence decision-making.
Work Experience
Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level. (Over 6 years to 10 years)
Education
- Master's Degree Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) - CFA Institute
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
