POSITION SUMMARY: Seeking a part time team member who is passionate about personal finance and helping clients achieve financial wellness. Preferred candidate is either enrolled in or is prepared to promptly enroll in a financial planning certification, CFP certification studies, and who needs professional experience in a financial services firm. Must be detail oriented. This role provides the opportunity to work collaboratively with two financial planners in Needham Massachusetts. Originally, the role will be mostly working on the backstage of the financial planning process for clients. As the role evolves the opportunity to work directly with clients will be included. This may be a remote role although the ability to come into the office at least once a week would be ideal. Good team player, independent worker with interest in the planning process while working on ways to help tell a better story for the clients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Entering client data into financial planning software programs and spreadsheets/
- Managing client information to ensure that electronic and paper files are complete, organized, and secure in OneDrive.
- Documenting progress and completed tasks in our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software with satisfactory detail so that the current status can be easily understood by other members in the firm.
- Researching client-specific issues and communicating conclusions verbally and in writing to the team.
- Helping to develop, document and maintain financial planning processes and procedures.
- Aiding in review of financial strategies designed to help clients pursue their long-term goals.
- Communicating with clients and interfacing with a variety of professionals inside and outside of the firm to ensure the process is managed and updates are provided to clients along the way.
- Working on observations and recommendations for the client. This document summarizes key points from the software output.
- Creating collaborative documents for the clients including educational pieces, social security analysis software and other pertinent tools.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in EMoney strongly preferred
- Ability to quickly learn and use computer software programs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s from an accredited undergraduate college or university; two+ years professional experience in an office environment; either previous work experience in financial planning/financial services, OR prior education in this field (e.g. has already completed one or more CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER courses).
COMPENSATION AND HOURS:
Hourly compensation will be commensurate with experience. Minimum of 5 hours a week with a maximum of 20.
