About This Opportunity
Provide financial support and day-to-day reporting and operational analysis for the various teams that support Specialty product development. Partner with the product team to help the leaders understand trends in their business and provide valuable input on potential opportunities and supporting business decisions.
How You Will Contribute
- Prepare and review key performance indicators and assist with Root Cause Countermeasure processes.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements along with various analysis of performance.
- Prepare and submit journal entries for any needed reclasses or accruals.
- Review group specific cost centers and cost allocations to ensure accuracy and completeness of P&Ls.
- Work with the teams to provide input for the rolling forecast, target, and any other forward-looking analysis.
- Respond timely and thoughtfully to ad-hoc financial requests and necessary analysis including ROI.
- Create excel spreadsheets and various queries supporting reporting and analysis as needed.
- Review and approve spend requests to assist with budget control and internal control compliance.
- Present financial results to team leaders, identifying key trends in performance and areas of opportunities.
- Identify areas for process improvements and ways to work Better, Smarter and Faster.
- Partner with the brand Leaders and provide pertinent data to establish Operational and Financial goal alignment and drive toward results.
What We Are Looking For In You
- Financial Knowledge: Understands and can analyze month-end income statements and balance sheets; experience processing journal entries is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Able to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it; exhibits a curious mind and provides actionable insights.
- Attention to detail: Does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project.
- System Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with ERP and Query Tools (PowerBI, OneStream, and Oracle).
- Collaboration: Ability to work with cross-functional teams throughout the business.
- Problem Solving: Provides practical solutions to problems, participates in product group and matrix partner kaizen events.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly across multiple channels of communication (verbal, email, PowerPoint).
- Superior Customer Experience: Inherent desire to proactively enhance the customer’s experience.

What You Should Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar area of study
- Accounting designation preferred
- 4+ years of financial analysis experience
- Conceptual understanding of US GAAP
