Amazon is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team.
We are OpsTech Solution Finance, serving as a Business Finance partner to OpsTech Solution, which is a technology-centric services organization that designs, builds, and sustains the invisible, high-quality network, compute infrastructure, and device scaffolding, proudly empowering and protecting Amazon's global Operations.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial planning and analysis efforts. You will be responsible for providing insightful financial analysis, conducting forecasting and budgeting activities through Amazon's operating planning & guidance cycles, and assisting in strategic decision-making processes for the global OTS FP&A team, which manages ~$0.7BN of operations-related spend internally.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Amazon's continued growth and success. This role will work closely with cross-functional business and finance leaders End to End and will use its unique vantage point to challenge financial assumptions and optimize the balance between cost, speed, accuracy, and Customer Experience.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated the following abilities: influence business owners, support thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment. You will collaborate with various business units across Amazon with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will quickly learn operations to understand economics and key financial drivers, and gain proficiency with Amazon data systems in order to conduct efficient analyses to reduce cost while exercising controllership and improving the customer experience.
Key job responsibilities
- Perform analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling to support business decisions and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Analyze complex financial data and provide accurate and timely reports to key stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Assist in evaluating investment opportunities and conducting ROI analysis.
- Conduct cost analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support the month-end close process and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Stay updated with industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact financial performance.
- Collaborate with finance teams across the organization to drive continuous improvement and share best practices.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).
- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of Tableau.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
