Senior Financial Risk Analyst- Governance

What You'll Do
As a Sr Financial Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the overall governance and control function for Financial Risk Management, ensuring compliance with key regulatory requirements, and supporting audit & regulatory issue remediation work. Your expertise and analysis will contribute to maintaining a robust risk management framework and supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of banking, audit, or regulatory consulting experience preferably in a financial risk function and possess strong technical skills, including working with data and reporting tools.
What We Are Looking For
- Maintain risk inventory and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory rules related to Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk and Capital Risk Management
- Support leadership in executing the governance tasks related to model risk oversight which includes maintaining a complete inventory of models, tracking of performance monitoring, review and challenge use of management judgement and overlays.
- Support leadership in remediation of audit and regulatory issues.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for management and committees on a regular basis.
- Prepare weekly and monthly limit reporting and dashboards to help inform senior management of changes in the risk profile of the Firm.
What You Will Need To Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., MBA, CFA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of five years of banking, audit, or bank consulting experience, preferably in a financial regulatory risk function.
- Advanced in Excel, VBA, SQL and other querying and reporting tools.
- Proficient with GRC (governance, risk management, and compliance) reporting tools and business intelligence platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to build effective relationships across departments and levels of the organization.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
