Applies language and culture expertise with target/threat and technical knowledge to process,
analyze, and/or disseminate intelligence information derived from language, voice and/or
graphic material. Creates and maintains language specific databases and working aids to
support cyber action execution and ensure critical knowledge sharing. Provides subject matter
expertise in foreign language-intensive or interdisciplinary projects.
Key Skills & Experience
- 4 or more years of experience conducting translation, transcription, and
summaries/gists of various language materials. - Achieve a minimum Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) score of 3 in respective
foreign language(s) in reading and listening. - Achieve an ILR score of 3 in English writing, with preference given to a 3+.
- Demonstrated history of working on foreign language into written English translation
projects and maintaining the integrity and meaning of the translated material. - Background or experience in the military, DLI, or intelligence community.
- Proficiency in multiple foreign languages.
- Experience in intelligence reports writing.
- Experience with Human Language Technology tools.
Education, Certifications, & Credentials
- Q clearance required.
- Candidates with TS/SCI can be transferred to Q clearance easily.
