The opportunity
In a dynamic and fast-paced team environment, provide seamless interaction with internal and external customers that is market-driven, revenue oriented and dedicated to providing maximum customer satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Customer Service Manager within TC’s US Nominations and Scheduling department.
We are seeking an energetic Business Analyst who has knowledge and experience with the fundamental scheduling processes for multiple natural gas pipelines and storage assets and will be able to provide support for some of the largest TC Energy customers.
This role supports daily customer activities and operations of TC Energy on US natural gas and storage pipelines, performing complex duties for the Nominations and Scheduling department including customer support, processing nominations, interconnect confirmations, pipeline scheduling, imbalance management, natural gas allocations, and invoicing.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain transportation and storage customer relationships by serving as a primary point of contact within the Nominations and Scheduling team. Provide a high level of customer service via phone, video, and chat service.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve various customer and operator inquiries related to, but not limited to nominations and scheduling, confirmations and OBA/imbalance management.
- Provide customer training on transactional system functions and features.
- Lead special projects, including testing of new process implementation and improvements for transactional systems.
- Analyze various transportation and storage activities from both a macro and micro perspective and produce analytics as needed.
- Regularly monitor activity for storage assets, OBAs, park and loan, and power plants to ensure compliance with tariff and service standards.
- Occasional domestic and international travel as needed.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in a highly efficient, knowledgeable, and professional manner.
- Demonstratable analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient utilization of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
- Ability to handle multiple assignments with varying priorities and due dates.
- Must interact effectively with all levels of the organization and demonstrate ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively.
- Ability to translate high-level business objectives to needed process improvements.
- Effective listener and observer possessing the ability to translate knowledge obtained into appropriate action.
- Flexibility and a willingness to occasionally support scheduling activities during peak periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with interstate pipeline transactional systems.
- Experience scheduling transportation and storage on or for interstate natural gas pipelines.
- Working knowledge of TC Energy’s US natural gas pipelines and storage companies.
- Familiarity with interstate natural gas pipeline tariffs, contracts, and operations and a working knowledge of NAESB standards as they apply to nominations, scheduling, allocations, and confirmations.
- Advance knowledge and experience using MS Power BI, MS Visio, Excel macros and related software.
- Ability to write and maintain Access, SQL & Excel queries.
- Operations management and process improvement experience.
