JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position will participate in the design, development, and administration of benefits programs for U.S. and Canada (health & welfare, 401k/retirement, leave programs).
Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide analytical support in the design, development and administration of benefits programs, plans and processes for U.S. and Canada employee population. Assess the competitive marketplace, including emerging trends, and provide analysis and recommendations to provide competitive and differentiated benefits that support the Company’s overall employee value proposition. Assess the impact and effectiveness of benefits programs.
- Develop and deliver effective and clear communications regarding benefits programs and processes, leveraging multiple sources and mediums, e.g., ServiceNow, Workday. Prepare both written communications as well as oral/video communications to convey the material aspects of each benefits offering to both current and prospective employees.
- Maintain currency with country, federal, state and local laws and standards governing statutory and voluntary benefits and ensure compliance. Monitor and ensure ongoing U.S. ACA compliance. Prepare and/or oversee accurate completion of regulatory filings.
- Collaborate with HR and Legal on benefits-related matters and issues. Serve as point of contact and subject matter expert with external vendors, HR, hiring managers, corporate/segment business partners and HR service center reps.
- Partner with 3rd party vendors to ensure programs and plans are accurately and efficiently administered.
- Participate in 3rd party surveys and analyze benchmarking data; make recommendations to ensure overall market competitiveness related to total rewards philosophy and strategy.
- Perform analysis, modeling, and calculations for program enhancements/changes.
- Manage the benefits enrollment process. Update/confirm plans and rates and ensure benefits admin system(s) accurately reflect plan information. Monitor and respond to incoming inquiries from employees, hiring managers and other related parties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of progressive benefits experience across all key areas of benefits administration (including both health & welfare and 401k/retirement)
- Experience working in a geographically dispersed organization with an employee population of at least 2k
- Experience with Workday
- Advanced Excel skills to create complex spreadsheets and interpret data trends
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence within all levels of the organization
Position Location: North Carolina
Compensation Range: $66,700.00 - $122,300.00
Compensation Frequency: Annual
Base pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental pay types may include commissions or bonus incentives, depending on the role.
