Overview
We are looking for a IT Finance Manager to join our team. This position will directly report to the VP of Financial Planning and Analysis and is responsible for preparing financial analyses/budgets and acts as a liaison to the management for the interpretation of IT financial data (both operating expense and capital). The IT Finance Manager will prepare monthly financial management reports and assist in monthly review of IT spending.
Essential Functions:
- Prepares and reviews monthly financial results for IT leadership team. Analyzes profit and loss statement, prepares general analyses, and completes special projects/reporting as required.
- Knowledge of capital vs. expense determination and associated impacts to financial statements.
- Provides presentations to senior and line management covering topics such as financial performance, improvements needed and changes to the financial outlook.
- Responds to questions/problems regarding financial statements and budgets.
- Proactively performs research and analyses on profit and loss statements to understand key trends and issues.
- Prepares monthly financial management reports comparing current performance with year-to-date results and budget projections. Reviews/prepares monthly general reports as requested by senior leadership.
- Supports annual IT budgeting process and monthly forecast update as requested by leadership team.
- Adheres to and participates in Company’s mandatory HIPAA privacy program/practices and Business Ethics and Compliance programs/practices.
- Reviews and adheres to all Company policies and procedures and the Employee Handbook.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience preparing/analyzing financial statements, budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting/analysis.
- Strong knowledge of financial software.
- Understanding of GAAP accounting and treatment of spend (opex vs. capex).
- Prior budgeting and forecasting experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of finance systems.
- Experience in Dayforce, SAP, Adaptive Insights and Great Plains is helpful.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel 10-20%.
