The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Wildlife Conservation is recruiting for an Accounting Technician 1 located in Palmer!
What you will be doing:
The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Wildlife Conservation, is recruiting for a long term non perm Accounting Technician 1 to join our team. The incumbent provides administrative support in the areas of payroll, travel, accounting, and procurement to the region. Region 4 has four (4) area offices located in Palmer, Glennallen, King Salmon, and Dillingham.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for someone that has strong work ethics, communication skills, and the ability to answer questions and determine appropriate action relative to incoming messages, calls or requests. The incumbent needs to be able to multi-task and maintain composure and accuracy despite frequent interruption.
Minimum Qualifications:
One year of clerical work experience maintaining records that included using computer systems and performing basic arithmetic calculations.
Substitutions:
Successful completion of a formal vocational education program in accounting or bookkeeping will substitute for the required experience.
Post secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience (3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month).
