About the Role:

Impact and Responsibilities:
Provides governance and support in establishing and maintaining accounting policies & controls. Responsible for external financial reporting for all jurisdictions in which S&P Global operates. Maintains accounting and financial records.
- Performs more complex day-to-day accounting activities. Assists in financial statement preparation.
- Responsible for regular review & re-design of day-to-day work practices to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Ensures all work practices, processes and procedures for the business comply with the requirements of the jurisdictional rules of the country, SOX and company policies and procedures. Identifies issues and proposes solutions to management.
- Makes decisions regarding day-to-day financial issues.
- Applies broad knowledge of financial principles, business drivers, related areas and external market to impact efficient/accurate bookkeeping & reporting.
- Solves complex accounting problems and takes a new perspective using existing or new solutions.
- Works within own team and other related teams; for example, payroll, PtoP, treasury and tax.
- Contributes to the achievement of team & jurisdictional objectives.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $75,395 to $132,325. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits. What We're Looking For
Basic Required Qualifications:
- 5 years or more experience in a related field.
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or related discipline required.
- Proficient with MS Excel (Pivot tables, V-Lookups, IF functions, etc.) and PowerPoint.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA, CPA / Chartered Accountant designation preferred.
- Experience in Alteryx, BI Dashboarding tools (Tableau, Power BI), Anaplan, and Smartview a plus.
