Manager, Cost and Controlling

As Manager, Cost Controlling, you will be responsible for the month close process, costing, financial analysis, monthly forecasting, budgeting, inventory & variance analysis, internal controls, and project costing.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop item level standard cost and manage associated processes
- Prepare, report, and analyze manufacturing financial variance
- Manage monthly book closing process and internal controls
- Calculate cost estimates for New Product launches and line extension
- Maintain costing master data
- Responsible for monthly account reconciliations for inventory
- Provide backup of journal entries to the shared service accounting team
- Responsible for Inventory
- Assist in development of forecasts and annual budget
- Liaison with manufacturing and supply chain to improve productivity
- Support Financial Controller with ad hoc analysis request
- Manage yearly external audit and quarterly internal audit assessment
- Calculate transfer price for items & provide tax cross charges calculations to verify that profit range is met
- Prepare monthly cash flow to verify available cash for supplier payments
- Prepare ROI for new projects to assist in decision making
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other relevant qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing cost accounting in a manufacturing facility
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost accounting methodologies
- Strong ERP and systems knowledge (SAP a plus)
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to interact with various levels of leadership
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- High degree of tenacity and efficiency oriented
- Ability to work within stringent deadlines

Our Compensation and Benefits
At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $95,000 to $145,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.
Benefits for this role include: comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees; a 401k plan and company match; short and long-term disability coverage; basic life insurance; wellness benefits; reimbursement for certain tuition expenses; sick time frontloaded yearly of 40 hours, or higher if state or local law requires; vacation time for full-time employees to accrue between 112.5 and 150 hours yearly in the first four (4) years of employment, and additional accruals starting in the fifth (5th) year of employment; and 12 to 13 paid holidays per year. For roles that are not field-based, Ferring has a policy that allows employees to work up to two days from home and three at a Ferring site, weekly.
