The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our corporate team in Raleigh, NC to assist in the performance of month-end and year-end general ledger close, account analysis, account reconciliations, and project analysis. This position is ideal for an ambitious and experienced professional who seeks to be a part of a rapidly growing company. This position will also provide the opportunity for independent initiative and judgement to improve and develop accounting processes and procedures in a fast-paced corporate environment. Hybrid working arrangements are offered for this opportunity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals and logs following established accounting practices.
- Follow established accounting processes.
- Perform monthly bank settlements.
- Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
- Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions.
- Prepare documentation as needed for external auditors.
- Build ad hoc financial and statistical reports as needed for management review.
- Provide support to other corporate functions as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Licensing/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience:
- 1 - 2 years of experience in accounting or related field.
- General ledger month-end and year-end close experience.
- Physician Services or Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills, able to multi-task.
- Strong customer service skills, collaborative and flexible.
- Execution-focused, with the ability to take individual responsibility for delivering quality work in a timely manner.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
- Experience with various ERP’s (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics SL, Great Plains, Intacct, etc.) a plus.
