As an Analyst at Chatham Financial, you will be part of our client team, focusing on managing financial risks related to interest rates, foreign currency, and commodities. Our Analyst Program provides broad experience across advisory, trade structuring, and operational management. Your specific assignment will be based on team needs.
Responsibilities:
- Client Advisory and Analysis: Conduct detailed quantitative and qualitative analyses of clients' financial exposures, including interest rates, foreign exchange, and commodities. Provide advice on risk management strategies and assist clients in integrating their financial portfolios into our technology systems.
- Trade Structuring and Execution: Learn and apply financial hedging mechanics, structure and model transactions, and execute trades. Support deal managers in structuring, pricing, and executing transactions. Develop and maintain automated reports for financial portfolios.
- Operational Coordination and Management: Ensure smooth coordination of regulatory processes, manage trade documentation, and oversee transaction operations. Track financial covenants, organize contracts, and support consulting engagements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Review and prepare necessary documentation, term sheets, and transaction details. Assist in the preparation of deliverables and create presentation materials with analysis and market data.
- Market Research and Client Support: Conduct market research, prepare client presentations, and assist with research and reporting. Communicate key issues related to trades and transactions to internal teams and clients.

- Communication: Ability to communicate complex subject matter effectively, prioritize findings, engage with clients, and deliver effective communication through various formats (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, phone, in-person meetings, email, and spreadsheets).

- Project Management: Ability to prioritize demands, align resources with project deliverables, and communicate progress and expectations.
- Service Orientation: Innate desire to help others and provide excellent service.
- Quantitative Skills: Ability to work with large sets of data with a high attention to detail. Experience with statistical analysis and financial modeling is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with additional tools or languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus. Ability to learn new tools and technologies as required.
Candidates must be a recent college graduate with a BA/BS degree in a relevant field such as finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or computer science.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate academic program with a graduation date between December 2024 - June 2025. The start date for this position is July 7, 2025.

This role offers recent graduates a comprehensive learning experience, providing a solid foundation for a career in financial advisory and capital markets through a blend of structured learning paths and hands-on mentorship.
Our Analysts attend Chatham’s New Hire Academy which provides them with early exposure to senior leaders and SMEs throughout the organization, focusing on improving their speed to proficiency by developing the knowledge, skills, and relationships needed to be successful. It is a combination of online learning resources, debriefs, and in-person workshops with your cohort. Content areas covered include, but are not limited to, derivative and debt capital markets, fixed income math, options theory, problem solving, client communications, and effective consulting skills.
Travel Requirements: Travel requirements will vary based on your home office and assignment. You may be asked to spend time onsite at client offices or travel to other Chatham locations to support internal projects, typically for one to two weeks, with the possibility of longer stays. Please inform Chatham if you have any limitations on your ability to travel outside your home office.
