Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Data Collector. The Assessor will be expected to drive to assigned classrooms to administer tests or classroom observations. Assessments will be conducted at the child’s schools/centers.
Among the key duties of this position are:
- Scheduling appointments with schools, administering the assessments, reporting the number of completed assessments on a weekly basis to the Project Coordinator, and returning completed assessments to NIEER.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent, and/or up to 4 years of relevant office, clerical, bookkeeping, library assistant or related experience depending on the duties to be performed.
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate students, applicants with a BA, or current upperclassman undergraduate students with a focus on child development, early childhood, psychology or related field, withholding an excellent academic record (GPA of 3.0 or better).
- Knowledge about child development and developmentally appropriate early childhood teaching practices is preferred (e.g. Teacher).
- Experience in classroom settings and/or working with children.
- Ability to write, speak, and read Spanish.
