Join our Finance team as an Accountant where you will support invoicing and corporate collections, accounts payable, and special projects. The Team
You will report to our Controller and work collaboratively with a small team of 3-5 finance professionals. You will also work with our clients and internal departments both in person and virtually.
The Environment
This is an office-based role in our Folsom, CA headquarter location. You will work primarily onsite in a controlled office environment. This role provides hybrid flexibility for up to two remote work days per week.
Growth & Development
This role will afford you the opportunity to work alongside finance professionals to expand your accounting knowledge, refine your business communications, and learn more complex accounting functions.
Your Key Contributions
- Prepare, send, and post customer invoices, including use of several customer invoicing portals.
- Communicate with internal teams to ensure invoices are sent out promptly.
- Monitor AR Aging reports and follow up with customers for past due balances.
- Set up and maintain customer records, projects, and sales orders in the accounting system.
- Prepare and send lien waivers.
- Post activity and reconcile monthly statements for bank deposit, loan accounts, and credit cards.
- Set up new vendors and maintain vendor records in the accounting system. Perform trade credit background checks for new vendors. Handle vendor inquiries and problem resolution.
- Receive, enter, and post vendor bills. Anticipate bills and follow up with vendors for missing/late invoices.
- Monitor AP Aging and employee expense reports, pay bills via weekly check runs, EFT, and credit cards.
- Ensure compliance with purchase orders, travel, and business expense policies.
- File and pay all commercial taxes; handle annual 1099 process.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Module (FAM) in NetSuite (fixed/intangible, disposals, and posting of monthly depreciation/amortization expense).
- Analyze and post journal entries (payroll, direct & indirect cost allocations, prepaids and deposits, and other accrual accounting transactions).
- Support analysis of month-end financial results, incl. Income Statement, Balance Sheet, actual vs. budget performance, utilization, etc.
- Assist Controller with year-end audit, annual budgeting and other financial planning exercises.
- Maintain documented procedures.
Traits for Success
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- 3+ years of experience working in accounting/financial operations.
- Knowledge of accrual accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Understanding of revenue recognition rules.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and accuracy skills.
- BONUS: Experience working with NetSuite ERP.
- BONUS: Experience in project-based accounting.

Pay Transparency
This announcement is open to the Associate through level II. The base pay range for this position is $65,000-72,800/annual salary. This is an overtime Non-Exempt position. Compensation is based on market rate, job level, job related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and certifications. This is a Full Time opportunity.
