What we’re seeking:
The Senior Payroll Analyst's job duties include analyzing, maintaining, and reconciling payroll, benefit, and leave record systems. The Sr Payroll Analyst may also help administer wage payments and reporting, including taxes and deductions, and maintain time and attendance records.
In this remote role, you will be expected to collaborate with peers as required but can work anywhere in the contiguous United States.
What we need in you:
In this role, you will assist employees with questions about taxes, payroll, disability, or garnishments, and ensure final payroll checks are issued in compliance with State regulations. The Senior Payroll Analyst will also create and update process documentation, train Payroll Specialists, and generate weekly reports for use when processing payrolls. The Senior Payroll Analyst will be well articulated and work well under pressure to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.
What you’ll do:
- Process timely and accurate payroll for both salaried and hourly employees (separate cycles) in UKG.
- Provide timely assistance to internal team members’ inquiries and requests for assistance.
- Troubleshoot payroll issues with a sense of urgency. Must have ability to reverse engineer root cause and create long-term solutions.
- Provide all post-payroll required reports to Accounting team.
- Responsible for carrying out high-level system processing, maintenance, and system administration within UKG Pro.
- Track all activities related to garnishments and wage attachments for multiple states.
- Document system procedures.
- Train end users and cross train team members.
- Responsible to update any system to reflect changes related to union contracts and corporate policy.
- Process uploads, corporate bonuses and garnishments.
- Calculate Special Payments and help process third-party payments.
- Perform monthly, quarterly and yearly closes to General Ledger.
- Responsible for year-end reporting and processing of employee’s tax forms (W2s).

- Salary Range: $39,000 - $161,000

What background you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent related work experience (minimum 5+ yrs).
- Minimum 3 years experience with UKG Pro and all activities and reports related to payroll processing.
- Strong accounting skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive payroll/accounting information while ensuring data/system security.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to support a team environment of shared work, and shared success.
