The Role

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their career with the experience of working within a Global technology company. Supporting the Large Enterprise business within the Commercial business finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial analysis and insight to business and finance colleagues in achieving sales and revenue growth objectives. This role requires strong analytical skillsets and business acumen to drive understanding of business performance and identify opportunities for the business. The overriding objective is to drive value creation by partnering with the business/respective finance support teams and driving performance through a detailed assessment of results.

This role has been designated as fully remote, US.
The Main Responsibilities
- Interpret financial data to assess drivers of performance within areas of the business.
- Leverage financial data to identify and analyze opportunities for the business to improve performance.
- Proactively identify and research issues to highlight key business considerations; draw upon business acumen to craft actionable insights for the business.
- Draw upon your expertise to assist teammates in furthering their analysis and reporting skills.
- Build interactive reporting (leveraging strong skillset in reporting toolsets) that is concise and clear for executive consumption and that delivers insight and understanding for Finance and business stakeholders.
- Actively recommend analytical and reporting improvements that would enhance our understanding of the business.
- Understand the data architecture across repositories and how to bring data together to drive business understanding.
- Assist in the analysis of month-end results and provide insightful explanation of results and opportunities.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring high-quality plans.
- Generate special ad hoc reports and perform analysis as requested by supervisor and business partners/clients.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Required
- Self-starter, with proven ability to take high-level direction and produce results which show thought leadership and drive value creation for the business with limited supervision.
- Strong financial and analytical skills; experience building complex models and complex automated reporting.
- Experience collaborating across the business; Strong communication skills, including ability to articulate complex business issues in a clear and concise manner.
- Comfort communicating with more senior stakeholders.
- Thrive on change and continuous improvement - simplifying and automating processes using technology.
- Strong collaborator, storyteller, and cultural catalyst.
- High attention to detail & analytical mindset with the ability to translate large amounts of data into actionable information.
- Good understanding of financial analysis metrics. Analyze data, communicate results, and highlight key issues/focus areas for management and make recommendations.
- The ability to work independently or as part of a team and proactively suggest solutions and improvements to existing ways of working.
- Highly skilled in advanced Microsoft Excel functionality (experience with Power Query, SQL or Power BI a significant advantage).
- High degree of adaptability, with a Growth mindset.
Preferred
- Experience with analytic and business intelligence software (Power BI, Essbase, Anaplan, SAP).
- Understanding of data manipulation and analytical tools such as SQL, Power BI or Power Query.
- Finance or Business focused degree (or equivalent education).
Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$63980 - $85300 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$67340 - $89780 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$70710 - $94270 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$74070 - $98760 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
