Staff Accountant – Client Accounting Services

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Client Accounting Services team based in Cincinnati, OH. As an integral team member, you will work in a fast-paced, professional environment assisting the clients with their general accounting needs.
Position Details:
- Assist clients with close out of monthly, quarterly and/or year-end internal financial statements, which could include preparation of adjusting journal entries.
- Preparation of bank and account reconciliations.
- Frequent communications with clients via phone, email or in-person meetings.
- Assist clients with setup and training of their accounting software.
- Assist clients with process and procedure improvement projects.
- Other miscellaneous projects as assigned including assisting with consulting projects, notice responses, etc.
Position Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as full charge bookkeeping or staff accountant experience handling all aspects of the accounting functions for a small or mid-size business or 2 years Public Accounting experience.
- Proficient with the use of technology; working knowledge of multiple accounting software packages, experience with QuickBooks Desktop, Enterprise, QBO, and add on software applications is very helpful.
- QuickBooks Online Certification would be considered an advantage.
- Experience with online banking and linking of online banking to software applications.
- Professional communication skills on phone, in person and through email. Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- Proven ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple clients or projects at the same time.
- Must be comfortable working in a team environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Position involves occasional local visits to client locations.
