To drive continued success, we are seeking a committed, creative and experienced individual to join our winning team as Project Finance Manager. This position can be based in our Markham, Ontario on-site location, or remotely from a home-based office anywhere in Canada in accordance with our Work from Home policy.
Summary
The Project Finance Manager partners with Everest Project Managers to ensure successful financial management of clinical trial projects. The Project Finance Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining a successful relationship with Client’s Finance Department. The Project Finance Manager is responsible for maintaining/reviewing study budgets and monthly billing trackers, related staff timesheets and performing regular analysis, as well as initiating and managing the Change Orders process. The Project Finance Manager may oversee Project Finance Associate or Analysts. The Project Finance Manager reports to the VP, Project Finance.
Responsibilities
- Supports Project Management team in overseeing financial and contractual performance of Everest’s projects.
- Builds and maintains a strong relationship with the Clients’ Finance team during ongoing projects.
- Maintains/reviews study budgets and monthly billing trackers, related staff timesheets and performs regular analysis for ongoing trials.
- Identifies out-of-scope activities and overburn of budgeted hours.
- Manages Change Order process including change-in-scopes, out-of-scopes, and initiates tracking of change notification forms, consolidation, and reconciliation with billing.
- Supports revenue recognition process and reconciliation with billing.
- Supports Project Managers in project forecasting.
- Develops and maintains other study metrics, as needed.
- Possibly supervises Project Finance Analysts and/or Associates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting.
- 5+ years of experience in Contract Research Organization in project finance, account management, or operations finance roles.
- Strong working knowledge of financial and accounting processes.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and working knowledge of drug development services.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines and resources.
- Excellent analytical, as well as written and oral communication skills.
