CAES Mission Systems, Lansdale PA is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager of Estimating and Pricing.
This role is responsible for the development of accurate and comprehensive prices for all goods and services sold by CAES Mission Systems and shall incorporate current data in accordance with company policies and applicable government regulations. Additionally, this role develops and maintains systems and procedures by which prices are derived to ensure that the pricing strategies support the overall business goals.
This position requires an individual who can establish processes to drive accuracy and efficiency into all pricing activities and deliverables for each of the Mission Systems Product Lines. The Senior Manager will support the preparation of pricing reviews and support cost proposals and claims. Additionally, the Senior Manager will serve as a subject matter expert for aspects of pricing, Truth in Negotiations, and Defective Pricing. This is a people leadership position, which manages the efforts of a team of analysts who support the ability for our business to successfully win new programs. Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will prepare detailed, current, accurate, complete cost proposals for our government and commercial customers in accordance to FAR 15-408 Table 15-2 and coordinate/support their review and approval by functional managers and company management prior to submission, accurately assessing both price realism and project risk for each project. The Senior Manager will ensure all proposals are properly staffed from the available team of analysts.
The selected candidate must be able to work under deadlines and constraints as well as have the ability to multitask across the complex Product Lines. This position requires the ability to provide top level program planning guidance as well as the ability to summarize, package, and present information to all levels of management.
The Senior Estimating and Pricing Manager works closely with program management, the finance organization and other functions within the company and is responsible for:
- Lead and supervise a team of pricing analysts and ensure compliance with pricing guidelines.
- Oversee pricing analysts as they research and find solutions to customer issues.
- Support the implementation of pricing and profitability guidelines for products and services.
- Support business development and program management by responding to pricing requests in a timely manner.
- Support the development, analysis and negotiation of all rates and factors.
- Work collaboratively with functional departments to coordinate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements and research and analyze historical data and develop cost models to support proposal efforts.
- Affordability analysis, problem solving, and brainstorming to achieve results, as well as risks and opportunities identification and analysis to minimize risk.
- Preparation for and support of audits from DCAA and DCMA.
- Special analysis including benchmarking, investment analysis, productivity and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field
- Minimum 6 years' applicable work in pricing analysis
- Minimum of 3 years' of experience, leading a team
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
- Risk and Opportunity analysis skills
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Requirements
- Prior work experience with a USG defense contractor
- Prior work experience in pricing department of government contractor
- Expertise in ProPricer
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment

- Experience with ERP implementation

Salary Range: $142,195 - $175,652 annually (Lansdale, PA).
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
