This position reports to Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Senior Financial Analyst, reporting to the Distribution Business Controller, you will be a part of the ELIP Finance/Accounting team supporting the Byhalia, MS, Phoenix, AZ, and Easton, PA sites. You will be responsible for performing support activities within General Accounting, Financial Analysis, Reporting & Consolidation in line with defined strategies, policies, and procedures. This role will require someone who will be hands-on in the Distribution Center Accounting Team's cyclical tasks (month end, journal entries, debits + credits, etc.) and additionally will allow for introduction and execution of strategy.
This role would prefer candidates located near Memphis, TN or Nashville, TN, but is open for other regionally close locations.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Performing the analysis of the group’s financial results in your area of responsibility and coordinating the preparation of various management reports, including management performance reports, commentaries on financial statements, etc., on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Working with the reporting units and countries to follow up on the inconsistencies noted on management reporting information.
- Contributing to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) initiatives for the group.
- Leading process improvement and cost-saving initiatives to protect and increase the group’s profitability.

Qualifications For The Role
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields and minimum 8 years of experience in controlling or financial analysis, financial operations or internal controls.
- General accounting knowledge in financial statements, cashflow, inventories, reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Change management experience.
- Experience using multiple tools including SAP, ERPs, Power BI.
- Experience working in fixed assets / capital projects.
- Previous experience in Manufacturing/Distribution is a plus.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
