The Office of Revenue, Receivable & Cashiering Services (RRCS) is recruiting a Senior Accountant who is highly detail oriented and analytical to join our team. This position is to focus on complex account reconciliations and reporting with a high degree of independence and workload. The position is responsible for creating accounting reports and reconciliations that are accurate, thorough, presentable, reliable, and timely.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
This position is expected to create financial reports for senior management and USG central office; as well as perform as the lead accountant on the team. Other level accountants may seek advice in reaching a solution to difficult issues.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Prepare reconciliations for the liability clearing accounts in student information system.
- Prepare reconciliations for student and non-student accounts receivable.
- Perform analysis and journal entries for revenue deferral and recognition.
- Resolve account reconciliation variances timely.
- Prepare aging analysis for outstanding accounts receivable.
- Recognize undoubtful balances (write-off/reserves).
- Prepare University System Office reports for quarterly and annual submission.
- Assist with providing financial data reports upon request to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with USG and SAO guidelines.
- Assist leadership with auditor inquiries.
- Provide excellent customer service to the university and community.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
NOTE: This position requires working some evening and weekend hours during July – August for duties related to Fiscal Year-End Close.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and four years of experience; or a combination of education and related experience. Must be bondable for some positions.
A successful candidate should possess the following:
- Four years progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Ability to prioritize work tasks during competing deadlines.
- Demonstrable organization and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous related experience in a university setting is a plus.
