The Financial Management Branch (FMB), within the CDPH Administration Division, is responsible for the preparation, analysis and management of the Department’s budget, maintenance of accounting records and financial data, and acts as the liaison with the Department of Finance (DOF), Legislative Analyst’s Office, Legislative Budget staff, and the federal government on budget and fiscal matters affecting the Department.
FMB is located in downtown Sacramento in the East End Complex across from the beautiful State Capitol Park and World Peace Rose Garden.

Job Description And Duties
This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by performing highly complex fiscal activities and professional accounting work that includes daily draws, monthly and quarterly reconciliations, and semiannual and annual financial reporting for over ten grants. Performs highly complex analysis and research to resolve various complex accounting issues using multiple automated accounting systems and procedures. This position may act as Lead in the unit.
The incumbent works under the general direction of the Accounting Administrator I (AA I) Supervisor of the Federal Reporting Team A.
