Nel Hydrogen is experiencing substantial growth, and we are now searching for a motivated Financial Planning Analyst to strengthen our Finance Team in financial planning, analysis and controlling. The role will report to the Finance Director Electrolyser Operations and will be a key part of the US Finance Team with extensive collaboration with other departments and the corporate headquarters. The position is located at the company’s premises at Wallingford, CT.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Manage annual budget process from consolidating cost and revenue reporting per department to reporting complete budget and related presentation to corporate headquarters according to schedule and pre-defined reporting requirements.
- Prepare and update year-end financial forecasts quarterly.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and presentations to local management and corporate headquarters.
- Develop and prepare monthly cost reports per department and analyze performance versus budget.
- Develop and prepare regular product cost reports highlighting areas of improvement in collaboration with manufacturing.
- Assist in product pricing revisions by contributing products cost analysis and forecasts.
- Support procurement and supply chain organization with costs analysis and data preparation.
- Support preparation and analysis of capital expenditures proposals.
- Follow-up of capital expenditure projects in terms of costs and progress.
- Further develop operational measures and performance indicators to follow-up manufacturing, projects and ongoing operations.
- Continuous development of the company's systems, processes and routines within finance.
- Follow-up of possible financial risks from operations and propose improvement measures.
- Participate in the monthly financial closing process to support the Finance team to meet reporting deadlines and fulfil reporting requirements.
- Contribute with internal control to ensure implementation of current standards and principles.
- Ad hoc projects and assignments.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required or Master’s degree preferred in finance, accounting or similar.
- 5 - 10 years relevant experience from a similar role, accounting or finance.
- Excellent technical skills in Excel, Power Point, Power BI and similar applications.
- Experience from managing/working with annual budgeting and financial planning processes, preferably in a multi-site company.
- Hands on experience with developing department, product cost and manufacturing cost reporting and follow-up procedures.
- Experience from a manufacturing business is a plus.
- Experience with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP platform is a plus.
