The salary range for this role, based in New York is $88,560.00 to $116,235.00. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
Position Summary
This role partners with the PRUSA commercial teams to identify revenue opportunities through price optimization, trade spend opportunities and/or promotion efficiency on the entire portfolio (spirits including wines and champagnes). A successful candidate will be an enabler to the commercial team as well as the broader organization in achieving overall value performance ambitions. The candidate will analyze data (sales, key competitor trends, promotional ROI, etc.) to deliver insights, facilitate fact-based decision making and to enable an RGM mindset throughout the organization.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Individual:
- Analyze data to identify opportunities to optimize price and improve promotional effectiveness across the portfolio (spirits/wines and champagnes)
- Coordinate with Field Finance Managers for PSM and price structure maintenance
- Identify opportunities for simplicity and efficiency in day-to-day pricing discussions as well as annual planning conversations
- Lead and present ad hoc revenue management related projects and analyses with local market and distributor teams.
- Drive action and execution of business opportunities through collaboration with sales and finance teams and the use of data driven insights
- Evolve, create, and embed local market revenue management tools and capabilities
- Facilitate Revenue Management mindset with sales teams and support best practice sharing across the PR USA organization
- Improve ways of working and communication with brand finance and central pricing teams
- Implement controls and monitoring processes of RGM execution activities
- Shared:
- Lead the socialization and embedding of Revenue Management capabilities and tools across supported sales and finance teams
- Collaborate in the development of revenue management annual planning materials and partner with local market and distributor teams in the integration of Revenue Management principles into the annual planning process
- Support Revenue Management discussions with distributors and customers
Nature & Scope
- This position reports to the Senior Manager, Revenue Management Execution, and will interact directly with Pernod Ricard USA commercial teams and the broader finance community
- It is critical for the individual in this role to embrace cross-functional ways of working
- This role will focus on enabling local market teams to find opportunities and facilitating a revenue management mindset in everyday workstreams and discussions
- The nature of the role requires exceptional data structuring and analysis skills as well as the ability to generate insights and recommendations even when only partial data sets may be available
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complicated concepts across all levels of the business are a must
- A self-starter who is highly organized and has a revenue management background is preferred
Key Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business or a related analytical field
- Experience / Background:
- 3+ years experience in analytical roles within consumer products or beverage companies
- Advanced Excel proficiency a must
- Financial scenario modeling/price/mix delivery
- Experience with pricing and/or revenue management strategy and execution
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
- Ability to influence others leveraging strong presentation skills that build actionable insights and stories from data
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to create environment of trust and confidence
- Proven change management & process improvement capabilities
- Proficiency in a range of analytics and visualization tools (Power BI, Hyperion, etc.)
- An ability to learn new tools and systems
- Knowledge of syndicated consumer data a plus
- SQL proficiency a plus
- Past roles in sales and/or commercial finance a plus
Working Conditions
- General Office:
- Work is performed in a typical office environment
- Limited demands for movement and lifting
- Normal visual, hearing and language acuity required for correspondence and computer usage
- Travel estimate: 10% of time
