Location: The Woodlands, Texas 77380
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM onsite
System Experience: SAGE 300 is a significant advantage

About Us: The accounting department consists of 12 dedicated professionals, including a 4-member Accounts Payable team (Manager, Lead, 2 Specialists).
Position Title: Accounts Payable Manager
Reports To: Controller
Position Summary:
As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee and coordinate our accounts payable operations. This role includes managing vendor invoice processing, payment preparation, account reconciliation, and addressing inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong leadership skills, and has a deep understanding of the accounts payable process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire accounts payable department and its progression.
- Ensure timely approval and processing of all accounts payable invoices.
- Reconcile and balance accounts payable ledgers.
- Address vendor and supplier disputes and inquiries.
- Implement and enhance accounts payable processes using automation tools.
- Establish and track departmental KPIs.
- Verify purchase order numbers and match invoices to receipts.
- Collaborate with vendors and procurement to resolve disputed or inaccurate invoices.
- Communicate professionally with team members.
- Perform additional duties as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in accounts payable, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Proficiency in Ten-Key and general accounting principles, with a keen ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Strong skills in MS Office and Excel; experience with Sage 300 is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Familiarity with Sage, DocLink, and Excel.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong mathematical and reading comprehension skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude and strong planning abilities.
- Active listening skills and critical thinking capabilities.
- Compensation depends on experience ($58k-80k) with full benefits and a performance-based bonus.
