Locus’ Impact Investment Services team supports foundations and community development investors in their pursuit of impact goals by helping them to design, develop and manage guarantee programs and other investment funds. As a key member of the Impact Investment Services team, the candidate will work with Locus colleagues to fulfill investment program mandates and deliver on client objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand client expectations and ensure superior client satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated Excel-based financial models.
- Create client deliverables, including pitch decks, term sheets, due diligence reports, and portfolio analyses.
- Source and vet opportunities in line with relevant investor and fund requirements
- Conduct investment due diligence by analyzing organizational, financial, and impact information.
- Coordinate logistics and workstreams, develop and communicate next steps and action items, and manage progress to achieve deadlines.
- Effectively present information to varied stakeholder groups via written and verbal communications.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of evaluation frameworks, investment policies and procedures, and capital raise strategies.
- Manage and analyze data sets to derive assumptions and develop recommendations.
- Participate in Locus business development by conducting research, preparing proposals, and helping to manage pipeline opportunities.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $85,000- $100,000 annual salary depending on skills and experience
- Bonus opportunity if bonuses are paid in any given calendar year

Qualifications
Experience/Education/Certifications:
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience, preferably in impact investing or philanthropy, community development finance, commercial or investment banking, structured finance, or private equity or debt.
- Advanced Excel competencies including financial modeling experience required.
- Experience evaluating, structuring, developing, and/or managing relevant investments.
- Relevant sector knowledge (real estate, structured funds, guarantee programs), impact investing, and community development finance experience a plus.
- Bachelor's degree required, ideally with coursework in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting
Communication:
- Ability to communicate verbally across all levels of the organization in a clear, concise and confident manner.
- Ability to write accurate, clear and organized communications, incorporating a range of information and analysis. Ability to document workflow and procedures.
Computer/Technology:
- Excellent Word, Excel, and Windows file management skills mandatory
- Strong technical experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools
- Demonstrated web research skills
- Familiarity with Outlook or similar network-based email and calendar software
- Extensive computer usage and Microsoft Teams communication
- Must be able to work independently in a stable remote environment
- Access to high-speed internet bandwith and reasonable proximity to a Locus office or major metropolitan airport
