Position Title: Senior Accounting Manager

Job Summary: The Senior Accounting Manager is accountable for ensuring the organization’s goals and strategies with regards to revenue and sales growth; expense, cost, and margin control; and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goal management are established and communicated within the organization. Effective integration and coordination of financial activities with Universal Medical Management in the areas of parts, production, service, sales, and administration teams is required to ensure budgets are established and monitored, resources are properly allocated, and departments meet individual financial goals. Activities include but are not limited to providing the management team with accurate financial information, cash forecasting done weekly, completing payments, controlling expenses, and receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Optimize the flow of accounting activities to support customer satisfaction and internal/external Universal Medical initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Assists executive team in directing company operations to meet budget and other financial goals.
- Establishes and monitors budgets.
- Ensures the integrity of financial statements.
- Assists executive team in developing and implementing financial strategies and processes that will enhance the overall success of the organization.
- Monitors the organization’s financial state on a day-to-day basis.
- Assists in all accounting activities within the organization, providing support and direction.
- Identifies risks and organizational issues that could impact business objectives and implements resolutions to address determined root causes.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
- Completes and maintains accurate up-to-date records associated with identified responsibilities.
- Accountable for Financial analysis of new product introduction activities.
- Accountable for applicable Quality Management System (QMS) document maintenance, establishing process controls, process monitoring/management, performing analysis, KPI maintenance, and reporting activities.
- Ensures departmental conformance/compliance to applicable QMS and regulatory requirements.
- Takes necessary actions to ensure QMS continuing suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness.
Additional Responsibilities:
Processes bi-weekly payroll, as directed by the President.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, requires ability to ambulate frequently, and requires occasional bending, stooping, and reaching above the head.
Education/Training Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent, Associates of the Arts Degree in Business or 2yr Accounting Degree/Certification, Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Certification/License:
Not applicable.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience required.
- Previous management/leadership experience enhances operational success.
- Previous experience in manufacturing production control, MRP, and logistics.
