In order to continue our rapid growth and success in providing compliance, planning, and consulting services to our clients, we’re currently seeking a practice builder to be our firm’s next Corporate Tax Leader.
In this highly visible leadership role, you’ll be responsible for designing, leading and building the firm’s corporate tax practice focused on tax compliance and tax provision outsourcing for middle-market, private equity backed and public companies. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Execute the Firm and Tax Service Line vision, strategy, and goals for the corporate tax practice, as well as support other leaders in their execution of the strategic plan.
- Ensure discipline around execution of Service Line business processes and Firm business practices for the corporate tax practice.
- Manage the utilization and productivity of professionals in the practice to achieve operational and financial targets.
- Utilize leadership skills, acting as a role model, to provide coaching, mentoring, and training in the development of partners and professionals within the practice and build a talent pipeline with the requisite technical expertise.
- Drive consistency, collaboration and communication among Service Line, Market Leaders, Shared Service Leaders, Advisory and Industry Leaders as well as with other stakeholders.
- Develop the Corporate Tax annual budget and drive results against budget and key performance indicators throughout the year for the practice.
- Consistently grow the practice through expansion of services to existing clients, cross selling with other advisory practices, and obtaining new clients.
This role may be based out of many of our offices. Limited travel should be expected.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Masters preferred.
- Must be CPA certified and have an active CPA license.
- Minimum of 15 years of corporate federal and multi-state tax consulting and compliance experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting experience.
- Technical ASC 740 experience including expertise in corporate tax compliance, planning, and provision.
- Demonstrated experience in driving growth and building an office, practice, industry group, service line or similar.
- Ability to drive success (results) through the influencing of Partners (behaviors).
