This role is responsible for assisting in driving fraud risk aspects of business initiatives as well as responding to fraud-related events and demands. Successful candidates for this role will leverage industry knowledge, risk expertise, statistical modeling/analytics, and innovative risk strategies and solutions to enable Intuit SMB growth and expansion, achieve optimal profitability, and enhance trust-related consumer and merchant experience.

Responsibilities
- Use advanced analytical techniques to mine massive scale account and transactional data to build/optimize fraud risk strategies/policies, and translate into actionable business plans.
- Lead the full cycle of risk strategy/policy work, including identifying opportunities and action plans, developing and testing policy, launching policy to production, and monitoring performance.
- Build subject matter expertise in different types of risks among money movement offerings to optimize the balance between risk mitigation and growth in the Intuit ecosystem.
- Team up with our data scientist, risk operations, product, data engineering, and analytics teams closely to drive customer segmentations, develop innovative risk strategies, and perform portfolio analyses.
- Test into and recommend 3rd party data providers to solve individual/business risk and other types of exposure risk.
- Constant analysis and research with multiple tools in order to optimize the various risk mitigation methods and mechanisms.
- Must have good judgment with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
Minimum Requirements
- MS/PhD in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Operations Research, or a related field with 2+ years working experience in data analytics or data science related role. Or bachelor’s degree in the same fields with 4+ years working experience.
- Proficient in SQL, Python, Tableau, and Excel, with working knowledge of A/B testing as a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiar with statistical modeling, loss forecasting, and collections. Having working knowledge of the fundamentals of payment processing and an understanding of industry fraud and risk trends is a plus.
- Have a track record of diving into data and driving data insights for business needs both quantitatively and qualitatively.
- Passion for analyzing data and an insatiable curiosity to understand complex business issues and proactively look for business opportunities and drive new innovations.
- Ability to tell stories with data, educate effectively, and instill confidence, motivating stakeholders to act on recommendations.
- Able to work in a fast-paced working environment, multitask, balancing short and long-term strategic implications to meet or exceed business objectives.
