Our client is a private equity firm. They seek a Fund Accountant to join their Old Greenwich, CT office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial and management reports for the funds
- Work with administrators to maintain the financial records for the entities
- Reconcile administrator data to internal portfolio management systems
- Draft quarterly/annual financial statements and footnote disclosure
- Perform balance sheet/profit and loss reconciliations and reporting for loan portfolios
- Liaise with product accountants on complex securitizations and other deals
- Maintain expense accrual budgets and analyze budget-to-actuals
- Contribute to the preparation of quarterly/annual investor/regulatory reporting
- Handle audit inquiries/requests and assist with investor relations/marketing requests
- Produce periodic tax deliverables and tax-related compliance support
Requirements
- 2+ years of fund accounting experience
- Experience with mortgage REIT, credit funds, loans
- Background in public or private accounting
- Professional and personable demeanor
- Organized with keen attention to detail
- CPA strongly preferred
- Skilled in Excel, SQL, and VBA
