Job Summary
The QA/Business Analyst is the primary resource supporting definition and direction for our complex integrated facilities management systems. The QA/Business Analyst understands core sector operations and seeks to gather additional information with diverse client requirements. Thorough understanding and experience with operational process is used to engineer innovative solutions, drive technology use, and capture data. The role is essential to support our field operation teams in leveraging data to impact important business decisions, drive efficiency, cost avoidance, and increased margin. This person is an expert on underlying process flow and purpose, shares knowledge with others to disseminate through the organization as needed, and leads other team members to further develop these skills. They are responsible for ensuring core tenants are uncompromised, solid master data is upheld, and enterprise level security is continuously maintained.
The QA/Business Analyst is an autonomous, individual contributor role, and does not directly manage other employees. They are able to perform their role independently with confidence and look to leadership for review or approval of proposals and SOPs.
Platforms this role supports: ESFMx, ServiceNow, Nuvolo, eDesk, Smart Inspect, Maintenance Connection, and other technology utilized throughout the organization as required for business partners and clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify, design and propose new features, functionality, and solutions in support of core tenants
- Write system requirements that align with operational needs to drive efficiency
- Write test scripts and perform the QA tests based new features as well as perform QA tests prior to new releases
- Drive execution of planned tasks, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects are delivered on- time, within the prescribed scope
- Recognize potential project risks, provide prudent and timely recommendations for risk avoidance
- Train technology team on new functionality for use in documentation and training materials
- Mockup process flow diagrams
- Lead system testing processes, identification, tracking and prioritization of defects
- Critically assess systems for ease use, propose changes based on opportunity identification
- Assist in licensure tracking and compliance for varying solution functionality
- Assess and troubleshoot as the escalation point for ESFM Technology Support team
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with client stakeholders, ESFM employees, and third-party vendors
- Communicate company goals, project objectives, and role expectations to other team members
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets for different business functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data management
- Utilize advanced Excel formulas to perform calculations, automate processes, and enhance spreadsheet functionality
Job Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills are necessary to be able to translate technical information to non-technical audiences
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 4 years of technology support experience
- Energetic self-starter able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- High sense of ownership, responsibility, and commitment to quality
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting deadlines
- Effective organization, collaboration, planning, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Experience working with systems listed; experience in facilities management industry a plus
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
This is a primarily remote role with occasional travel. May require occasional client site visits. Some clients may have strict safety and PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) requirements for onsite visitors, which will need to be followed as they occur.
