Role Description:
CoStar for Lenders empowers clients to make informed decisions by seamlessly connecting their portfolio to CoStar’s dynamic, precise data and analytics. Our industry-leading property information and credit default modeling offer lenders a competitive edge, enabling operational efficiency, risk management, and deal success.
As a Lead Designer for CoStar Lender, you will drive our design efforts, from user flows to production. You will translate complex business needs and data into design solutions. You'll collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, including product leads, researchers, engineers, marketing specialists, and fellow designers.
This position is in our Richmond, Va office and offers a hybrid schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.
Responsibilities:
- Lead design efforts to enhance CoStar Lender. Work closely with the product team to deliver design solutions through wireframes, flows, mockups, prototypes, and more.
- Lead the integration of CoStar for Lenders into the CoStar Cosmos design system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product leads, researchers, engineers, marketing experts, and other designers.
- Employ research techniques, including surveys, interviews, observations, and data analysis, to understand customer needs.
- Set high design standards, ensuring a harmonious blend of usability and aesthetic appeal.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited, not for profit university or college
- 8+ years relevant design experience
- A track record of commitment to prior employers.
- 2+ years in financial services products or commercial real estate products
- Strong knowledge of design principles, information architecture, and interaction design
- Proficiency in translating business requirements into design solutions and getting subject matter experts aligned with the solution
- Expert proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Proven experience as a UX designer with a strong portfolio showcasing complex interactions and workflow
- Experience in leading and managing design efforts
- Knowledge of usability testing and user research methodologies.

- Experience in commercial lending
- Expertise in data visualization
- Expertise in analyzing user metrics.
