To support our growing activities, we are looking to grow the team with a full time experienced Financial Accountant who will help us keep track of the financial operations of our US entity. The position reports to the Director of Finance and the role is based out of our Santa Clarita, CA office. This is an on-site position.

Your responsibilities

Create and manage financial statements and dashboards.
Assist with sales tax filings in accordance with related laws and regulations and AVALARA system.
Supervise an AR/AP clerk.
Collect, analyse and report financial data.
Assist with budgeting and auditing tasks.
Organize completeness of Master data.
When needed correspond with customers on payment or invoice-related topics.
Advise best practices and optimizations throughout accounting processes (incl. digitalization).
Manage any and all audits on behalf of the company.
Quality-assure and audit reports and filings for errors.
Potential supervision of an accounting clerk.

What you bring to the table

University Degree in accounting/finance.
Understanding of financial processes.
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in an accounting position or in auditing in a Big 4 Company.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Interest towards automation.
Ability to focus on spreadsheets, data systems, and figures for a long period of time.
Experience dealing with confidential data.
Time management and organizational skills.
Knowledge of relevant tax laws in accordance with the Bureau of Labour Statistics.
Ability to show initiative as well as work autonomously.
Experience working with ERPs (incl. MS-Office), namely Microsoft Navision and SAP S/4 Hana is a significant plus!
