Cox Strategy & Investments (S&I) is responsible for leading Cox Enterprises' corporate strategy, managing and diversifying our portfolio of companies and investments, supporting investments in the Atlanta Venture ecosystem (including Techstars, Endeavor, Engage Ventures, amongst others) and managing Socium, our venture capital fund. Our team is at the forefront of our efforts to build multi-billion dollar revenue platforms in new industries including Cleantech, Govtech, Edtech, Digital Media and Digital Health.

Job Responsibilities
As a Sr. Analyst, you will play a critical and highly visible role in driving forward strategic initiatives for Cox. You will work closely with colleagues in the S&I team on projects to drive strategic decisions with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The role will be dynamic, intellectually challenging, and require strong problem-solving, quantitative and communications skills. The successful candidate will be team-oriented, proactive, willing to take on new challenges and have high integrity.
In This Role You Will
- Conduct primary and secondary research on forces shaping our businesses (e.g., macroeconomic factors, emerging technology, portfolio management best practices, etc.)
- Lead financial modeling efforts to guide strategic discussions.
- Translate detailed analysis into concise presentation materials.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business unit owners, financial planning teams, and division Strategy and M&A teams.
- Assist with strategic, operational, and financial initiatives for portfolio companies as needed.
- Participate in our efforts to strengthen Atlanta's venture ecosystem with local accelerators and startups.
Required Job Qualifications - Experience/Education/Training:
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or related fields.
- 4+ years of professional work experience in strategic analysis and research at a top-tier strategy consulting firm, corporation, or private equity firm. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience.
- Track record of consistent high-level of achievement.
- Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities.
- Self-starter, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to conduct complex analysis and present findings in a clear way.
- Strong organizational skills and with impeccable attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, research, and financial modeling skills.
- Ability to develop sophisticated PowerPoint presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Open minded, flexible, with an eagerness to develop professionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with investments or M&A transactions.
- Experience in our sectors of interest.

Compensation
Compensation includes a base salary of $85,500.00 - $128,300.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
