BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a “resilient, agile, results driven” individual to join our organization as a Senior Account Manager (SAM). The SAM will be responsible for managing the revenue and profitability of accounts assigned by directly influencing relevant internal and external commercial activities. SAM will be responsible for both Foundational and eProducts. This position will collaborate with Strategy, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, and Program Management teams to create and implement strategies for maximizing profitability of existing business while securing new business growth for the company. Candidate will take a leadership role in the coordination of new business pursuits and quotations. Key Responsibilities- Represents the business unit in a professional, positive manner.
- Develops (with input from cross-functional teams) and deploys comprehensive customer strategies that improve both profitability and growth.
- Articulates a clear understanding of our market share, competitive position, and profitability at each assigned account.
- Works in conjunction with sales management to deploy comprehensive pricing strategies which are market driven, based on value provided to the customer and competitive alternatives.
- Develops and deploys the customer interface strategy (points of contact, frequency) and builds strong rapport with key decision makers, developing coaches and sponsors as necessary.
- Develops proactive new business pursuit plans, tracking and recording progress toward sales booking targets.
- Responsible for driving/leading the acquisition plan, delivering, and executing the plan.
- Monitors market dynamics, including customer and competitor developments, funneling relevant information to the appropriate sales & strategy management team for consolidation into our product & program strategy alignment (PPSA) process.
- Takes ownership of the total customer experience, monitoring our performance on key supplier metrics and pursuing corrective action plans as appropriate.
- Monitors program launch activities to confirm change management is properly executed internally and externally ensuring program profitability commitments are achieved through launch & series production.
- Oversee sales and commercial management for customer programs of the assigned customer accounts. This includes but is not limited to RFQs, engineering changes, contract management, documentation of customer-owned tooling, customer portal management, VA/VE activities, capacity management and negotiations, mentorship of plant employees new to the customer, etc.
- Develops sales forecasts for use in the LRP and monitors market trends throughout the year for use in monthly forecast adjustments.
- Complies with contract review procedures and BW commercial policies.
- Is an ambassador of the BW operating model (LA/GS) and Belief Behaviors.
- Provides global coordination on customer issues where required.
- Shares and seeks information outside of his/her BU.
What We’re Looking ForEducation, Skills, Knowledge Requirements- Bachelor's Degree (business/technical preferred)
- 8+ years of automotive industry experience | Minimum 4 years of sales experience
