We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Revenue Analyst to join our team. As a Revenue Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition and compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with various teams, including Sales, Finance, and Legal, to review pricing, analyze software license agreements, and provide insights for process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Take initiative and follow through on tasks and projects, demonstrating a proactive approach to work.
- Prepare summaries of executed agreements, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment.
- Assist the Sales team with generating quotes and reviewing pricing for compliance with fair value (SSP).
- Collaborate on ongoing process and systems improvement initiatives.
- Interface frequently with all levels of management and external parties, such as legal and auditors.
- Identify potential accounting issues and promptly alert the Revenue Manager and Director of Revenue. Document issues and resolutions, including supporting accounting literature.
- Proactively seek and assume additional responsibilities and projects to contribute to the team's success.
- Assist in special projects, including system improvements, business integrations, and audit requests.
Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
- 1 to 3 years of related professional experience.
- Technical accounting experience in revenue recognition (ASC 606, software and SaaS revenue recognition, SOX, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with Sales Force and CPQ application is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement best practices, procedures, and systems, with a constant drive for improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong decision-making and analytical abilities.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and non-management personnel.
- Strong work ethic and a high level of organization, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
