Job Description - Business Analyst; Labor Compliance/Prevailing Wage Site Investigator
Bronx, NY
The Prevailing Wage Investigator will be responsible for reviewing daily sign-in sheets & certified payroll reports to check for completeness & accuracy. Also visit construction sites to ensure compliance with New York State Labor Law 220. Work with MPact Compliance Supervisor as needed for compliance activities. Knowledge of State Labor Law 220, Prevailing Wage and/or NYC Project Labor Agreement (PLA). Review Sign in Sheets and/or Certified Payroll reports to ensure both are accurate & completed correctly as required under Labor Law 220 and the PLA. Report any issues or deficiencies to supervisor. Daily onsite presence to Edenwald project site or other compliance sites as assigned to ensure that appropriate Labor Law signage is available at the site. Review sign in sheets and other requirements of Labor Law 220. Review compliance documentation to ensure completeness, prepare written correspondence requesting any missing documentation, notify other agencies of project completion. Recommend cases for in-compliance closeout, warnings, sanctions, or other corrective actions. Prepare proper closeout correspondence, notify relevant authorities and units.
Minimum Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
- High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
- Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
