Speridian Technologies is recruiting for a Business Analyst for the OKR Triage Team for our State of California Client - Department of Healthcare Services, Behavioral Health. This person will be part of a state-of-the-art, extremely vast IT modernization project working with a variety of cross-functional teams.
This is a remote role; however, there will be meetings in the Sacramento area several times a year. Candidates must be based within a 2-4 hour drive or fly time from the Sacramento, CA area. Candidates will need to work Pacific Standard hours on a daily basis.
The OKR Triage Team Business Analyst (BA) is a pivotal role designed to support a cross-functional team in the seamless execution of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) from the initial problem statement through to planning of the technology product execution. This role is essential for ensuring that all logistical aspects, meetings, actions, templates, and documentation are meticulously managed, thereby enabling the team to solve OKR throughput challenges in a predictable and efficient manner.
The BA in the OKR Triage Team is crucial for ensuring that the team can work together efficiently and effectively to achieve their objectives. By meticulously managing the details and logistics, this role enables the team to focus on solving the OKR throughput problem, ultimately contributing to the organization's success.
The OKR Triage Team BA reports directly to the OKR Triage Coach.
Responsibilities:
OKR Drafting and Planning:
- Collaborate with the OKR team, Program PO, Workstream Leads, and Product Managers to shape, draft, and refine OKRs that meet business needs and enable product recommendations.
- Assist in the development of recommendation drafts and strategic planning documents, ensuring alignment of OKRs with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
Tracking & Reporting:
- Provide detailed Jira documentation support to the OKR Triage team and utilize data-driven insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Gather data related to OKRs and Agile metrics from various sources, analyze it, and provide insights into OKR progress, team performance, and areas for improvement.
Logistics and Coordination:
- Manage logistics for meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and follow-up actions.
- Maintain and update templates, documentation, and other essential materials. Additionally, capture and document all details and actions to ensure nothing is overlooked.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and with program, product, and factory stakeholders. This may require adapting communication styles to meet the needs of diverse team members and stakeholders.
- Engage with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, capture documentation, and facilitate discussions. This will ensure all relevant parties are informed and aligned on objectives and progress.
Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with Jira and other Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira Align) to support OKR management and tracking.
- Ensure that the OKR Triage Process is well documented and maintained.

- OKR Analysis and Documentation: Break down and prioritize OKRs to understand their impact, feasibility, and alignment with business goals. Document OKRs, progress, outcomes, and any changes in a clear and concise manner.
- Agile Practices Support: Track OKRs, iterations/sprints, monitor progress, and report on key metrics through the use of Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) and processes.
- Supportive Role: Provide necessary data, insights, and operational support to the OKR Triage Team.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Communicate findings and insights through reports, presentations, and meetings. Engage with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, capture documentation, and facilitate discussions.
- Technical Proficiency: Be proficient in using Agile and OKR management tools to support tracking and reporting. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the technical aspects of the projects to provide relevant support.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Able to adapt to changing priorities and support the coach in pivoting OKR strategies as needed.
Time Management and Prioritization:
Manage and prioritize tasks to ensure timely support for the coach and team. Produce timely and accurate reports and analyses to support decision-making.
