At Diverzify+ and our family of partner brands, we believe our associates are at the heart of our organization. We are looking for a detail-oriented senior accountant to perform and coordinate multiple accounting duties within our organization including preparing financial reports, monthly financial closes, journal entries, account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with year-end audit preparations, and performing other ad-hoc accounting duties as assigned. To be successful as a senior accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills with an ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects at one time.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate accounting functions and programs.
- Prepare financial analyses and reports. (i.e., Reconciliations, Accruals, and Review, etc.)
- Prepare revenue projections and forecasting expenditures. (i.e., Job Costing Analysis, Income Statement Analysis, etc.)
- Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets and statements. (i.e., Income Statements & Financial Statements)
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with annual audit preparations.
- Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
- Assist payroll with Union audits.
- Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Keep up to date with the latest regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Perform other account duties and support junior staff as required or assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Senior Accountant role or similar.
- Strong background using Microsoft Excel (i.e., PivotTables, VLOOKUP. etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using IFS and/or Adaptive
- Background in Construction Accounting
- Experience using Cube is highly desired.
