The Role: S&P Global Market Reporter / Pricing Analyst Roles – Prospanica Career Expo
The Locations: Houston / Mexico City / Washington D.C. / Sao Paulo
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree: journalism, economics or business preferred.
- A solid understanding of economics and commodities markets fundamentals.
- Reporting/writing/analytical or editorial experience.
- Strong communication, numeracy, and statistics skills.
- Experience in price reporting or market reporting is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting on daily trading activity in commodities markets. This will include gathering pricing information in real time, producing analysis of market pricing and trends during coverage, and assessing markets based on physical bids, offers and traded information in line with our published methodologies.
- Lead the identification of new market coverage opportunities.
- Writing copy, producing graphics and publishing data explaining the trends driving prices and the reasons why we have assessed the price where we have is a part of the daily process.
- The price market reporter is responsible for managing and building the contact base for their markets, approaching new sources through desk-based outreach and in person, including by representing Platts at industry events such as conferences or in face-to-face meetings.
- The candidate will also have opportunities to present at conferences, conduct webinars and podcasts or external media interviews.
