Position Overview:
Responsible for journal entries, account reconciliations, expense/budget analysis schedules, monthly closing responsibilities including bank reconciliations, tracking of fixed assets, tracking of supplier banks/commitment funds, tracking of incentives, analyzing asset/liability/equity accounts and any other related accounting/bookkeeping projects assigned.
This position is eligible to participate in our hybrid work schedule, which includes working in the Taunton office three days per week and remotely two days per week.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure adherence to monthly closing schedule
- Supplier A/R, including statement analysis and collection of monies owed
- Accounts Payable - Freight/Travel/Direct Imports of Product
- Prepare journal entries
- Cash Receipts Application/Cash Reconciliation
- Maintain fixed assets records
- Account analysis
- General ledger entry
- Bank reconciliations
- Handle special projects as assigned
Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in financial accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through skills
- Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to analyze figures
Education/Experience/Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 3 years of experience in accounting
Physical Demands and Environment:
- Work performed requires minimal physical exertion, may be required to lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds
- Work is performed in a normal office setting with intermittent standing or sitting as determined by the incumbent
- Work requires considerable mental concentration to effectively execute complex tasks requiring periods of focused mental and visual concentration
- Works in a normal office environment
- Minimal potential for injury in the performance of duties
