A leading, national real estate corporation is seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. The Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the accounts receivable functions within their accounting and finance department. This role involves managing the invoicing, collection, and reconciliation processes to ensure the timely and accurate receipt of payments.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and issue invoices for rent, management fees, and other receivables associated with commercial properties.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with lease agreements, management contracts, and company policies.
- Collaborate with property managers, leasing agents, and clients to verify and confirm billing details.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts in a timely manner.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve disputes with tenants, clients, and stakeholders.
- Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledger with the general ledger on a regular basis.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in account balances and ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to receivables.
- Generate and analyze reports on receivables performance, aging, and collection metrics.
- Identify trends and provide recommendations to enhance cash flow and collection efficiency.
- Support the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets related to accounts receivable.
Qualifications:- Minimum of four years of experience as an accounts receivable specialist.
- Real estate industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
